My Testimony

My testimony is as follows, I was born and raised in a Christian Catholic family, went to church with my parents, and followed the traditions and teachings of the Catholic church. I was told to adhere to the teaching and tradition of our forefathers by going to church once a week and Learned about the objective facts of the human life of Jesus, His human living, and the many miracles that He performed during His time here on earth. It was not until in my later years as a young person that I started to search and seek the truth and I decided to migrate to Canada. When I attended an English class as a landed Immigrant, one of the teachers gave us students a small New Testament, and since I was eager to learn a new language started to read some of its chapters. I was amazed at the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels and the epistles of the apostles and found out soon that what I was taught as a child did not correspond to the many teachings and practices my parents had led and taught me.

It was not long after that I met some born again believers who met as a local church in the City of Vancouver in which I lived at the time and soon realized and came to know the full knowledge of the truth. After attending some of the meetings I learned more about the teachings of Christ in the New Testament and realized that being a nominal Christian upon being born into a Christian family or religious organization was not a ticket to enter the kingdom of the heavens as I and my siblings were told.

In the teaching of the book of John 3: 1-10 we see a story of a Pharisee, a prominent religious teacher of Israel who witnessed the many miracles and signs that Jesus performed and knew that God was with Him, but Jesus told him that unless he was born again he cannot see or enter the kingdom of God. He said that Unless we are born of water and of the Spirit we can not enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that what is born of the Spirit is spirit and we should not marvel that He said to us, you must be born again. Furthermore, in the book of Romans 14:17, it says that the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. It is a divine realm we are supposed to enter by being born again of the Spirit. When I read these passages in the scriptures, I realized that I was merely a good moral nominal religious Christian but that my living was not up to the standard of the truth that was being revealed to me. It was not the way for me to live. Upon further reading the truth for myself in the scriptures, I realized my need to first receive the divine life and be regenerated in my human spirit by the Spirit of God that gives life, (2 Corinthians 3:6). I realized that this would enable me to live a life that is pleasing to God and give true meaning to my life.

From 1 Corinthians 15:45 I saw that the first Adam became a living soul but the last Adam, Christ became a life-giving Spirit. In the New Testament, it clearly showed me that Christ after his human living, death, and resurrection ascended to the heavens and became the life-giving Spirit. Furthermore, Christ as the anointed one descended as the Spirit to impart Himself into his 120 disciples who were gathered on the day of Pentecost, (Acts 2). When they received the Spirit they were baptized, immersed into Christ and that was the initiation or the beginning of the church; the believers themselves were all baptized into the reality of the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Upon learning all these fundamental basic truths in the scriptures, I realized my need to be born again, and not long after had a change of heart and was willing, eager to be baptized into the water and the reality of the Spirit. Once I was baptized and entered the reality of the Spirit from that day onward I truly learned to live by another life, the life of Christ, the divine uncreated life of God that had entered my being just as the disciples had experienced on the day of Pentecost. From that day onward having become a born-again believer, a born-again Christian I enjoyed living in the reality of the Kingdom of God, having righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Having not only heard of the truth but having the reality of Christ now realized into my being profoundly changed the course of my life and the whole matter of living.

My experience and the experiences of the believers in Christ with whom I meet is truly the fulfillment of the prophecy that Peter proclaimed on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:17. When Peter stood up and said that in the last days He would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters and they shall prophesy and young men will see visions and your old men shall dream things in dreams. I am so thankful that we are in the last days, where we all can experience young and old the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our midst and we all can meet as believers in Christ in a local church where we can learn how to prophesy and speak about all the things that Christ has accomplished and is accomplishing to end this age to prepare us and bring us all into His Kingdom. Let us all give heed to His word that first, we need to see that we all need to first enter His kingdom by being born again of the Spirit and water and have and be immersed into the reality of Christ to become His testimony even here in the City of Prince George.

And last and not least from Paul's epistles, I learned that Christ has not only regenerates us but renews us and transforms us day by day so that we all can arrive at the oneness of the faith and the full knowledge of the Son of God, at a full-grown man at the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ so that we no longer be little children tossed by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching in the sleight of men, in craftiness with a view to a system of error; But holding to the truth, the reality in Christ in love we may grow up into Him into all things who is the Head out from whom all the Body being joined together and being knit together through every joined of the rich supply and through the operation in the measure of each one part causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:13-16). Amen.

A brother in Christ.
